Throughout their early years of ministry, God was grooming
Pastors Randy and Vickie Lynn for the role in which they now
serve... pastors of a strong Pentecostal body of believers. The
vision to plant Praise Center Ministries came to fruition in 1994
with a small group of disciples, determined to build a church
grounded in the truth of God’s Word and the power of the Holy Ghost.
17 years later, PCM is a vibrant body of believers and is ever
expanding to reach today’s American culture, as well as thrust
believers into worldwide ministry.

Praise Center Ministries accepts the Holy Bible as the revealed will
of God, the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice, and, for the
purpose of maintaining general unity, adopts these Statements of
Fundamental Truths and Doctrine.
The Scriptures—The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a
revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of faith and
conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not
contrary to reason. (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Peter 1:23-25; Hebrews
4:12)
The Godhead—The triune Godhead is comprised of three
separate and distinct personalities: the Father, the Son, and the
Holy Spirit, who are eternally self-existent, self-revealed and
function as one entity. Jesus Christ, who is God manifested in the
flesh, is the second member of the Godhead, co-equal and
co-eternal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4,
Philippians 2:5, John 15:26)
Man, His Fall & Redemption—Man was created good and
upright, for God said, “Let us make man in Our own image, after
Our likeness”. But man, by voluntary transgression, fell and his
only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
(Genesis 1:26-31, 3:1-7, Romans 5:12-21)
The Salvation of Man—Man’s only hope of redemption is
through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. On the cross Jesus Christ
became a sin offering, a perfect sacrifice bearing our sins and
sickness as our substitute (1 Peter 2:24). His sacrifice provided
both salvation and divine healing for all mankind (Psalms 103:3),
“being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that
is in Christ Jesus. For by grace are we saved through faith.” “The
word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is,
the word of faith we preach; that if thou shalt confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God
hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the
heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 3:24, Ephesians 2:8,
Romans 10:8-10)
The Evidence of Salvation—The inward evidence to the
believer of his salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit
(Romans 8:16). The outward evidence to all men is a life of
righteousness and true holiness. “And this is His commandment, to
believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one
another, as He commanded us.” (John 3:23 NIV)
Faith and Works—Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ and
not by human works. However, our works are an outward expression
of the inward change in our hearts, as well as the factor that
determines our rewards in eternity. (Revelation 2:13, Romans
10:9-10, 2 Corinthians 5:10)
Baptism in Water—The ordinance of baptism by a burial with
Christ should be observed as commanded in the Scriptures by all
who have truly repented and in their hearts have truly believed on
Christ as Savior and Lord. In so doing they declare to the world
that they have died with Jesus and have also been raised with Him
to walk in newness of life. (Matthew 28:19, Acts 10:47-48, Romans
6:4)
Baptism in the Holy Ghost—All believers are entitled to,
and should earnestly seek, the promise of the Father, the Baptism
in the Holy Spirit, according to the command of our Lord Jesus
Christ. We believe that all who truly receive the Holy Spirit’s
baptism will “speak with other tongues as the Spirit gives the
utterance” (Acts 2:4, 10:45-46, 19:3-6). This was the normal
experience of all in the early Christian church. With it comes the
endowment of power for life and service, as well as the endowment
of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry. (Luke
24:49, Acts 1:4-8, 1 Corinthians 12:1-31) This wonderful
experience is distinct and subsequent to the experience of the new
birth (Acts 2:38, 10:44-46, 11:14-16, 15:7-9). We believe this
wonderful experience is for all believers in every age prior to
the second coming of Christ (Acts 2:39).
The Lord’s Supper—“And when He had given thanks, He broke
it and said, ‘This is my body which is broken for you. Do this in
remembrance of me’. In the same way also the cup, after saying,
‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this as often as you
drink it, in remembrance of me’.” (Luke 22:19-20) Let a man
examine himself and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
The Church—The church is the body of Christ, the habitation
of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the
fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer, born of the
Spirit, is an integral part of “the general assembly and church of
the firstborn, which are written in heaven”. (Hebrews 12:23,
Ephesians 1:22, 2:19)
Total Prosperity—
Spiritual (John 3:3, 11; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Romans 10:9)
Mental (2 Timothy 1:7, Romans 12:2, Isaiah 26:3)
Physical (John 10:10, Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:17, 1 Peter 2:24)
Financial (3 John 2, Malachi 3:10-11, Luke 6:38, 2 Corinthians
9:6)
Social (Proverbs 3:4)
Blessed Hope—Jesus is coming again to gather all His
saints to ever be with Him. (1 Corinthians 15:51-52, 1
Thessalonians 4:16-17, 2 Thessalonians 2:1)
Sanctification—The Bible teaches that without holiness no
man can see the Lord. We believe in the Doctrine of Sanctification
as a definite, yet progressive, work of grace, commencing at the
time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of
salvation at Christ’s return. (Hebrews 12:14, 1 Thessalonians 5:23,
2 Peter 3:18, 2 Corinthians 3:18, Philippians 3:12-14, 1
Corinthians 1:30)
Divine Healing—Healing is for the physical ills of the
human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer
of faith and by the laying on of hands. It is provided by the
atonement of Christ and is the privilege of every member of the
Church today. (James 5:14-15, Mark 16:18, Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew
8:17, 1 Peter 2:24)
Resurrection of the Just and the Return of Our Lord—The
angels said to Jesus’ disciples, “...This same Jesus, which is
taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye
have seen him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:11) His coming is imminent.
When He comes, “the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which
are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the
clouds to meet the Lord in the air...”. (1 Thessalonians 16-17)
Hell and Eternal Retribution—The one who physically dies in
his sins without accepting Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost
in the lake of fire. He therefore has no further opportunity of
hearing the Gospel or repenting. The lake of fire is literal. The
terms “eternal” and “everlasting” used in describing the duration
of the punishment of the damned in the lake of fire carry the same
thought and meaning of endless existence as used in denoting the
duration of joy and ecstasy of saints in the presence of God.
(Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 19:20)
